Lara Carols returns to historic Pirra Homestead this month, with an exciting program planned for the family-friendly event.
The public is invited to bring a picnic rug, invite family and friends and get into the festive spirit at the Lara Carols, a free community event held on Sunday December 22, 2019.
Held on the grounds of the Bisinella family’s iconic Pirra Homestead, Lara Carols has been running for more than 10 years and is a popular family event on the community calendar each Christmas.
Lara Carols is presented by the Combined Churches of Lara and sponsored by Bisinella Developments, the Lara District Community Branch Bendigo Bank, Clockwork Video Productions and Urban Audio and Lighting.
The main entertainment, featuring performances from the Lara Community Choir and soloists, will start at 8pm. Gates will open from 6.30pm.
Pre-show entertainment includes a performance by local singer/guitarist Callum Branch. Students from Lara’s new dance company Dance Move Create will also perform on the night. The public can also get their picture taken before the carols at the live nativity.
The Lions Club of Lara will hold a sausage sizzle and there will also be Timboon Fine Ice Cream and City to Surf Coffee for purchase, along with soft drinks (kindly donated by Coles). Proceeds raised from the sale of soft drinks will assist the running of the event.
Lara Carols has been held at Pirra Homestead since 2013. The Bisinella family donates the use of historic Pirra Homestead for the Lara Carols and other community events.
Pirra Homestead is located at 108 Windermere Road, Lara.
