The 2020 Lara Food & Wine Festival has been cancelled as a precautionary measure amid growing concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19).

 The Lara Food & Wine Festival was due to be held at Bisinella Developments’ Pirra Homestead on Sunday 22 March.

 The event’s organising committee made the announcement yesterday evening based on the growing concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19).

 “We have based our decision on the growing concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19). We have consulted with our major sponsors and considered the advice of local and national health authorities. We feel, in the interests of public safety, the best option is to unfortunately cancel the event,” the organising committee said.

 Bisinella supports the organising committee’s decision to cancel the Lara Food & Wine Festival.

 Bisinella is a proud sponsor of the Lara Food & Wine Festival and donates the use of Pirra Homestead each year for the event.

 The 2021 Lara Food & Wine Festival will be held on Sunday 28 March.

2020 Lara Food & Wine Festival Cancelled 

It is with heavy hearts that the organising committee of the Lara Food & Wine Festival have decided to cancel the 2020 festival on Sunday 22 March.

We have based our decision on the growing concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19). We have consulted with our major sponsors and considered the advice of local and national health authorities. We feel, in the interests of public safety, the best option is to unfortunately cancel the event.

We understand that many of our loyal festival goers will be disappointed, but this is the right decision.

It is the support of our festival goes that has grown our festival over the years. Given the size of the event, we book our fabulous vendors, entertainment and infrastructure many months in advance, so unfortunately, it is not possible for us to reschedule.

Together with our fabulous sponsors, whom we thank very much for their support, we do plan to put on a great festival again next year. Please mark your calendars for our 2021 Lara Food & Wine Festival on Sunday March 28, and we look forward to seeing you there.
