Leading land developer Bisinella Developments is pleased to announce the Bisinella Community Centre has reopened, after a new lease agreement was signed with the Cloverdale Community Centre.
The Bisinella Community Centre first opened in 2010 as part of the national award-winning Grand Lakes Estate in Lara and has accommodated hundreds of social, educational and community events over the years.
Bisinella Developments Director Richard Bisinella said the centre’s reopening was a positive outcome for local Lara residents as it provides a dedicated space and supporting facilities for community activities.
“We are very excited to announce this new peppercorn lease with the Cloverdale Community Centre for our revered Bisinella Community Centre,” Richard said.
“The centre is a vibrant hub for local residents, promoting community participation by providing people a safe and welcoming place to socialise.
“We look forward to seeing the Bisinella Community Centre be fully utilised by the local community and the new opportunities the reopening of this premise will bring."
The Cloverdale Community Centre is a community-owned and governed not-for-profit delivering a variety of community programs and activities to residents across Geelong.
The association aims to foster personal development and growth through educational, social and cultural programs, championing diversity and inclusion.
Cloverdale Community Centre Coordinator Ursula Irwin saidthis venue will enable the group to expand their existing programs, providing even more support and opportunities for residents within the Lara community.
"The Cloverdale team are thrilled to be given the chance to lease the Bisinella Community Centre,” Ursula said.
“Aside from being in a beautiful location, Lara residents can look forward to more local events and fresh community engagement opportunities.”
Situated at 73 Buckingham Street in Lara, the Bisinella Community Centre is a modern, energy efficient building with expansive views across the estate’s lakes and landscaped parkland.
Facilities located on the premise include a hall, three offices, a kitchen, landscaped surrounds and 16 car spaces.
The Bisinella Community Centre was developed as part of Grand Lakes Estate, which was completed in in 2015 and is now a vibrant community of more than 2,000 residents.
The 800-lot estate is located around 18 hectares of attractive lakes, wetlands and parkland, connected by a network of boardwalks and cycling trails.
