Lara Football Netball Club (LFNC) has thanked Bisinella Developments for its ongoing sponsorship as the club navigates a transitional 2026 season.

Earlier this month, the club announced it would place its Senior and Reserve Men’s Football teams into recess for 2026 - a difficult but considered decision made in the long-term interests of sustainability and competitiveness.

Importantly, the club continues to field 33 teams across senior women’s football, junior football, netball and Auskick programs, with hundreds of players and families remaining actively involved throughout the season.

Bisinella Developments Director Richard Bisinella said continuing to stand beside the club during this period was an easy decision.

“Bisinella has proudly supported the Lara Football Netball Club for many years,” Richard said.

LFNC Football Chair Chris Spence said while the club is currently experiencing a transitional season, it continues to field 33 teams across junior boys and girls, senior women’s and senior and junior netball competitions.

“These players and their families rely on strong community support - both to sustain the club’s broad participation base and to provide the administration with the time and stability needed to rebuild and strengthen for the future,” Chris said.

The club has confirmed it remains financially secure, with revenue generated through sponsorships, fundraising initiatives, player registrations and community events continuing to underpin operations across all active programs.

“We acknowledge the ongoing backing of long-term partners, including Bisinella, as vital to maintaining participation and investing in junior development.

Community sporting organisations like LFNC play an important role in towns such as Lara, providing more than just competition”

Richard added the club provides a great way for people to connect and meet new friends - not only for players, but for extended families as well.

“Clubs like the Lara Football Netball Club are the heartbeat of our community - they bring people together, foster belonging across generations, and play a vital role in supporting both physical wellbeing and social connection.”

The leadership and volunteer base of the club has been widely recognised for its work in managing the transition while continuing to support all remaining teams.

“The leadership team and volunteers have shown exceptional commitment in navigating this period while keeping the focus on their players and families,” Richard said.

“Our support is only a small part compared to the work these volunteers do every week for the community.

“We wish all the players and families the very best for the 2026 season,” Richard said.”

Chris added, looking ahead, the club will continue to prioritise junior development, women’s football and netball participation, while working toward a sustainable return of the senior men’s program.
