Lara United Football Club is gearing up for an exciting 2026 season, bolstered by the ongoing support of major sponsor Bisinella Developments, a partnership that is now entering its 10th year.
The two organisations have a history that stretches back nearly a decade, with Bisinella Developments' long-term commitment playing a significant role in shaping the club into the thriving community institution it is today.
This year, the sponsorship is enabling a range of new initiatives, from upgraded junior equipment to innovative programs for the youngest members of the Lara community.
Lara United President Paul Grzybek said the partnership has been fundamental to the club's continued growth and stability.
"The partnership between Lara United and Bisinella has been an integral part of our club's history," Paul said.
"It has allowed our club for a number of years to upgrade its facilities, which in turn has made us a drawcard for new players."
One of the tangible outcomes of this season's funding is the purchase of new Alpha portable goals for the junior and Miniroos sections of the club. The upgrade replaces a set of goals that had reached the end of their useful life and were causing damage to the pitch due to their weight.
"The new Alpha goals can be moved around by the kids, which allows the children to participate in set up on the pitch," Paul said a small but meaningful change that gives younger players a greater sense of ownership and engagement with their sport.
The sponsorship has also made possible a brand-new program aimed at children under five years of age, introducing them to soccer before they are old enough to participate in the official Football Victoria competition.
The initiative will also create opportunities for the club's older juniors, with players aged 13 to 15 being encouraged to step into coaching roles, building leadership skills and giving back to the next generation.
Further investment has gone into the club's coaching infrastructure, with the funding enabling the purchase of the CCC (Club Coach Coordinator) Program, designed to improve the skills and confidence of new volunteer coaches.
Bisinella Developments Managing Director Richard Bisinella said he was proud to continue the company's support of such a well-governed and community-focused club.
"Lara United Football Club embodies exactly the kind of community spirit that Bisinella Developments has always been committed to supporting," Richard said.
"Seeing the club use this investment so thoughtfully, from new goals for the Miniroos to pathways for young coaches is exactly why we value this partnership so highly. We look forward to watching the club thrive both on and off the pitch this season."
Paul reinforced that sentiment, noting that the club's strong governance had been key to maintaining such a long-standing relationship.
"We are proud that our club's governance is of a high standard for the Bisinella family to be associated with our club," he said.
"A partnership with Bisinella and Lara United is now in its 10th year. This ongoing partnership has allowed the club to keep the fees of participation low for all ages."
Looking to the season ahead, the club's key goal on the field is simple, to get as many participants on the pitch as possible. Off the field, continuing to grow and strengthen the relationship with Bisinella remains a priority.
"A key goal is to continue the partnership with Bisinella for now and into the future," Paul said.
