Bisinella Developments will continue its long-standing partnership with the Lara Golf Club in 2026, reinforcing a shared commitment to community wellbeing, participation and local connection.
Now in its 12th year as a major sponsor, Bisinella’s support has helped the club undertake important improvements to its facilities while strengthening its role as a social and sporting hub for the Lara community.
The Lara Golf Club operates in partnership with council, with the course itself managed by the City of Greater Geelong while the club focuses on delivering programs and experiences for its members. Sponsorship support plays a critical role in allowing the club to invest in projects that improve facilities and participation opportunities.
Over the years, Bisinella’s contribution, alongside that of other sponsors, has helped the club complete building upgrades, maintain and expand garden beds, keep the course free from weeds and debris, and invest in equipment and plant required to run club operations.
Richard Bisinella said the partnership reflects the company’s long-standing connection to Lara and its commitment to supporting organisations that bring people together.
“Lara has always been an important community for us, and the golf club plays a vital role in bringing people together through sport, social connection and shared experiences,” Richard said.
“Supporting local clubs like Lara Golf Club is about more than sponsorship, it’s about investing in the people and organisations that make communities stronger.”
Looking ahead to 2026, the club is preparing for an important milestone as it works toward taking full responsibility for course operations by the end of the year. This transition will require significant investment in machinery and operational equipment to ensure the club can manage and maintain the course successfully.
Ongoing support from sponsors will play a key role in helping the club achieve this goal.
Beyond golf, the club continues to serve as an active community venue, hosting a wide range of events and activities including painting evenings run by the Geelong Day View Club, tabletop gaming events such as Warhammer regional finals, trivia nights for local schools and groups, and community information sessions.
With membership currently fluctuating between 270 and 300 members, the club has a strong base of players across all age groups and is seeing increased participation from younger members aged between 20 and 45.
The club is also working toward expanding opportunities for junior and women’s golf participation as it plans for future growth.
“We’re proud to support Lara Golf Club as it continues to grow, invest in its facilities and create more opportunities for people of all ages to get involved” Richard said.
One of the club’s most anticipated events each year is its Footy Colours Golf Day, held on the Friday before the AFL Grand Final. The event raises between $3,000 and $5,000 annually for charity, with plans underway to grow the event into an even larger fundraiser in the years ahead.
Through partnerships like this, Bisinella continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting local organisations that foster participation, connection and community pride across Lara.
