Bisinella Developments’ picturesque Pirra Homestead in Windermere was once again the setting for the annual Lara Lions Car Show.
The charity car and motorcycle show attracted more than a thousand classic car enthusiasts last Sunday, with some of the money raised going to Geelong homeless charity The Outpost.
This year was the biggest event in its 10-year history, with more than 350 cars on display, as well a variety of motorcycles.
Bisinella Developments Richard Bisinella highlighted the importance of community events such as the Lara Lions Car Show and said the Pirra Homestead was the perfect location.
“The Pirra Homestead is a magnificent building, and we enjoy seeing it being used for community events such as the Lara Lions Car Show,” Richard said.
Lions Club of Lara president John Wilson said the family friendly event was a major boost to the region and gave car enthusiasts a chance to showcase their unique cars and motorcycles.
“This event is a great day out for the entire family and provides an opportunity for car owners to showcase their vehicles and admire others,” John said.
“We had everything from Mustangs to Mokes on display, and even an historical Ambulance.”
Every year the event raises money for a chosen charity partner, Lara Lions community projects and future Lara Lions Car Shows.
John said Geelong homeless charity The Outpost was selected this year due to their support and assistance to those less fortunate.
“We chose them because of their amazing contribution to the community,” he said.
John added that community events like the Lara Lions Car Show were essential for bringing people together.
“These events create a sense of connection through shared common interests that bridge personal differences,” he said.
“Strangers strike up conversations, swap stories, and forge new friendships, all of which contribute to a vibrant community spirit.”
John said they were grateful for Bisinella’s ongoing contribution to the event through its donation of the use of the Pirra Homestead.
“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Bisinella family for graciously allowing us to host the event at the stunning Pirra Homestead – it’s the perfect venue,” John said.
