BioCATS is a unique initiative which allows local students into the inner sanctum of the Geelong Cats to learn about science and maths, while teaching them the importance of being active and participating in sport.
Bisinella Developments’ Director Richard Bisinella said since its inception in 2012, the school-based program had educated and inspired thousands of young people in our community.
Planned and executed between the Geelong Football Club and BioLAB: Victorian Bioscience Education Centre, the learning program aims to educate students outside the classroom, discovering the application of sciences and maths in real life scenarios.
“Community programs like BioCATS are crucial for our community, empowering our youth to make good decisions about their health and wellbeing,” Mr Bisinella said.
Geelong Football Club is aiming to raise $1 million in 24 hours as part of the club’s A Million Reasons Why – Cats Community Giving Day. To be held on Tuesday, the club has set the lofty target to help continue sustain, improve and expand the club’s tailored community programs over the next three years.
