Leading Geelong land developer Bisinella Developments is proud to continue its long-standing support of the Lara Cricket Club as it celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
Bisinella has been a major partner of the club since 2009, helping fund essential investments in equipment, upgraded facilities, coaching, and player development programs.
Director Richard Bisinella said he was honoured to be part of the club’s journey.
“We are extremely proud to support the Lara Cricket Club,” he said.
“Our sponsorship helps create more opportunities for players, attract new members and foster a strong, inclusive culture.
“We are committed to continuing our support, to ensure the club has the resources it needs to improve facilities and keep membership costs affordable for the community.”
Lara Cricket Club President John Speirs said Bisinella’s ongoing support has made a meaningful difference, both on and off the field.
“Bisinella understands the importance of investing in local sport and community development,” he said.
“Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to seeing grassroots cricket thrive.”
The 2024/25 season was a standout year for the club, securing all four GCA2 Men’s Senior Premierships in the 2024/25 season, the GJCA Junior U13 Premiership and the GCA2 Club Championship Award.
John said the success was a testament to the club’s robust player development pathways.
“These achievements are the result of dedicated coaching, supportive families and the backing of sponsors like Bisinella, who make opportunities like this possible for our future stars,” he said.
“Our goal is to not only develop great cricketers, but to build a strong club culture that encourages people to stay, grow and give back to the Lara Cricket Club for years to come.”
With more than 250 active members across junior and senior teams, the club is focused on continued growth and community engagement.
“We’re passionate about promoting sport in a supportive, family-friendly environment,” John said.
‘’It’s incredibly important that we keep the spirit of cricket alive for future generations.”
The club’s 150th anniversary celebration will be held in October 2025 at The Captains Room in the GMHBA Stadium.
All past and present players, members, volunteers, sponsors and supporters are invited to join the festivities.
“This is a momentous occasion for the Lara Cricket Club,” John said.
“We’re proud of our rich history and excited about what lies ahead.”
