Lino Bisinella has been creating jobs in the Geelong region for 50 years.
A plasterer by trade, Lino started working for himself when still a teenager and within 18 months, in about October 1964, hired his first full time employee.
A decade later, the enterprising post-war migrant was employing a workforce of 45 at his plasterboard factory in Heales Road, Corio.
So began the business that has grown and diversified into Bisinella Developments as we know it today, the region’s largest local land development company.
Along the way Lino has proudly provided direct and indirect employment for many thousands of local people on the company’s industrial and residential projects.
Bisinella Developments is currently working on seven residential estates in the Geelong region and a large industrial estate in the Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct.
Lino’s other interests include his major restorations of historic properties in Lara and his generous support for a range of community and charitable organisations and events.
Fifty years after Lino took on that first employee, Bisinella Developments remains a family business focused on generating investment and jobs as well as lending a helping hand in the local community.
