The Committee for Geelong has postponed next month’s leadership program Activate, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Bisinella Developments had offered three emerging community leaders of the north and Lara with scholarships to the 2020 leadership program.
The Committee for Geelong had planned to run two Activate programs this year, with the first eight-week course, Activate #10 scheduled to run from April 23 to June 11. The leadership program has been postponed with a new start date being reviewed.
Bisinella Developments has provided 20 scholarships to the leadership program since it started supporting the initiative in 2017.
Residents from Lara and the north who are interested in a Bisinella scholarship for the Committee for Geelong’s Activate program are encouraged to register their interest with the Committee. Interested parties will be contacted with more information.
Launched in Geelong in 2016, Activate supports emerging leaders in exploring the foundations of leadership. It also assists them in gaining confidence, knowledge, skills and strategies to lift their leadership capacity for personal, professional and community benefit.
Almost 100 Geelong participants have taken part in Activate programs since they started.
