Geelong residents and businesses have shown their support for disadvantaged people in our community this Christmas, through the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal.
The appeal has been supporting families in the Geelong region for the past 20 years. This year, for the first time in the appeal’s history, the public was asked to donate funds, not gifts, to keep the community safe during COVID.
The Geelong Giving Tree Appeal was launched earlier this month by Bethany Community Support, in partnership with 93.9 Bay FM, and in collaboration with Barwon Child, Youth and Family (BCYF) and the Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SAFV) Centre.
Money raised from the appeal will support children, young people, and families in our community that are in need through Bethany, BCYF and SAVF. Donations will go to vulnerable families in the form of gift cards, so they can purchase Christmas gifts.
Bisinella Developments has a long-standing relationship with BCYF services and contributed $5000 to the appeal.
