Land sales in Bisinella Developments’ Lara Lakes Estate are expected to commence around the middle of the year, after a planning permit was provided for the Lara site.

When completed, the new residential estate located in the area known as the Lara West Growth Area, is planned to include 532 lots.

Bisinella’s new estate will be situated on the south west side of the corner of Windermere Road and O’Hallorans Road, Lara.

Lara Lakes Estate will include 15 stages with works expected to commence in approximately September 2020, with completion of the first stage planned for around mid-2021.

The first stage of development would be located to the north east side of the land. Seventy of the lots in the estate will have lake/park frontage.

Lara Lakes Estate will also feature an extensive lakes and parkland system comprising of approximately 6.7ha of land. Land will also be set aside for the Department of Education.

“We anticipate being in a position to commence selling land in Lara Lakes Estate in the middle of this year,” Bisinella Director Richard Bisinella said.

“Now that we have the permit we are looking forward to moving forward in what will be a significant development and a great opportunity for people from Melbourne, Geelong and beyond.”

“Lara Lakes Estate will be similar in design to Grand Lakes Estate in Lara, which was finished in 2015 and is now home to a vibrant community of more than 2000 residents,” he said.

The largest estate developed to date in Lara with about 800 lots, Grand Lakes Estate set a high standard for development in Lara and includes parklands, the lakes, boardwalks, a community centre, a café, barbecue areas and playgrounds.

When completed, the Lara West Growth Area will be designed to accommodate about 11,000 people, with planned services to include retail and employment precincts, schools, community centres, sporting facilities, parklands and walking trails.
