Construction of Lara Lakes Estate is anticipated to commence in early August 2021, after Bisinella received approval from the City of Greater Geelong for the overall development plan, stormwater management plans and functional engineering plans.

Bisinella is hoping to receive the balance of the approvals in the next fortnight with construction of Stage One expected to start early next month.

If construction starts as planned in August, Stage One is then estimated to be completed in March 2022, with Stage Two finalised in June 2022.

Engineering plans were originally submitted to Council 12 months ago, with approvals taking longer than hoped. Bisinella has been working closely with senior management at the Council to finalise the process.

While disappointed the start of construction had been delayed, Bisinella Director Richard Bisinella said he was pleased by the recent approvals and looking forward to construction getting underway.

 “We have been working collaboratively with the City of Greater Geelong’s Executive Team and are very appreciative of their efforts to facilitate these approvals.”
