Bisinella Developments is ready to start construction of Lara Lakes Estate as soon as the required approvals are received from the City of Greater Geelong.

Bisinella hopes to receive the remaining approvals in time to begin work on Stage One by the end of June.

The City recently approved plans for construction of the wetlands and lake system and is now reviewing the detailed engineering plans for Stage One.

While the engineering plans were originally submitted nearly 12 months ago and approvals have taken longer than hoped, Bisinella is working closely with senior management at the City to finalise the process.

Director Richard Bisinella said feedback on the plans is due in coming days and this would identify any outstanding issues.

“We are very appreciative of the efforts of Council’s planning, open space and engineering teams as well as the assistance being offered by the executive team,” Mr Bisinella said.

“While the delay has been disappointing, we are confident that final approvals will be received in the next few weeks.”

Mr Bisinella said his latest estimate, based on current progress in obtaining the remaining approvals, is that titles for Stage One will be issued in late February or early March 2022.

“We thank our customers for their patience and will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available,” he said.
