Hundreds of people ran and walked their way through Serendip Sanctuary earlier this month, raising thousands of dollars for local charities.
The annual Lara Fun Run/Walk on November 5, started and finished in the gardens of Bisinella Developments’ beautiful Pirra Homestead.
The community event raise $4320 for local not-for-profit organisations - Lara Swim Club, Second Lara Scouts, Give Where You Live Foundation and Serendip Sanctuary/Parks Victoria.
The family-focused event attracted 660 participants who took part in a 10km run, 5km run/walk and a 1.5km kids dash.
The scenic course took entrants through Serendip Sanctuary, along roads that are normally off limits to the general public.
