Celebrating 35 years of a successful partnership has been a significant achievement for leading Geelong land developer Bisinella Developments and Australian fertiliser supplier Impact Fertilisers.
Commencing operation at Bisinella warehouses located in Corio in 1989, Impact Fertilisers – which is owned by renowned Swiss agribusiness Ameropa Australia – has played a crucial role in creating employment opportunities within Geelong’s agribusiness sector.
Bisinella Developments Director Richard Bisinella said he was proud to align the Bisinella business with a company focused on supporting growth and development in the region.
“Impact Fertiliser’s significant contribution to the community through the creation of thousands of jobs is impressive,” Richard said.
“We are extremely proud to partner with such a successful business, which has created thousands of jobs in Geelong over the past three decades,” Richard said.
“Impact Fertilisers not only supports local employment but also plays a crucial role in the operation of the Geelong Port and solidifies Geelong’s position as a focal point for agribusiness in Victoria.”
Impact Fertilisers supplies more than 20% of Victoria’s fertiliser needs from its Coiro-based warehouse, which was developed by Bisinella.
The Corio site is Impact Fertiliser’s largest operation and plays a crucial role in Geelong’s agribusiness sector, which contributes $1.5 billion annually to the region and employs 10,000 people.
To celebrate the 35-year milestone, Impact Fertilisers CEO Jim Mole hosted a lunch in the Corio warehouse for his staff and the Bisinella team.
“We were thrilled to host a celebratory lunch for our staff and our partners, including Bisinella, marking 35 years of operation,” Jim said.
The City of Geelong has highlighted its strategic goal to continue growing the agribusiness sector and create a prosperous economic environment.
Geelong’s 10-year plan, Geelong on the Rise, aims to create thousands of new jobs, attract skilled workers and promote the region as an attractive place to live and work.
