A new state-of-the-art café is ready to open in Lara’s Grand Lakes Estate.
Constructed by Bisinella Developments at a cost of $600,000, the café enjoys panoramic views of the lakes and surrounding parkland.
The café has been leased to chef Scott Millar and will open on Thursday (7 May) as Millars Lara.
Up to 80 people can be seated, both inside and on the large undercover deck.
The café features striking contemporary interior design as well as a commercial kitchen, heating and cooling, and computer-controlled lighting.
Coffee lovers will appreciate the latest in handmade Italian espresso machines by La Marzocco.
An external wood-fired oven will be installed in the near future.
The café is located at 80 Westlakes Boulevard, next to the popular children’s playground.
It completes the community facilities to be provided by Bisinella Developments in the 800-lot estate.
A second playground has been constructed on the other side of the lakes and will be opened to the public when approved by Council.
Development Manager Richard Bisinella said he expects the new café to be popular with local residents and to draw customers from all over Lara and beyond.
“It’s a very attractive setting for a café,” Mr Bisinella said. “We wish Scott the best of luck with his new business venture.”
Grand Lakes Estate is built around an impressive 18 hectare expanse of lakes, wetlands and parkland laced by a network of boardwalks and walking and cycling trails.
A site is reserved for a childcare facility next to the Bisinella Community Centre in Buckingham Street.
