The North Geelong Football and Netball Club (NGFNC) is celebrating strong growth in 2025, having surpassed 200 memberships, with participation numbers expected to climb even higher over the coming years.
With the continued support of leading Geelong land developer Bisinella Developments – now in its seventh year as a valued partner – NGFNC is building strong momentum.
“Bisinella’s sponsorship has been massive for us,” NGFNC President Darren Vandenberg said.
“Having a well-respected, local company like Bisinella align with our club has helped us lay strong foundations for future growth, both in our financial planning and membership expansion.”
The partnership has enabled the club to roll out its three-to-five-year development plans, with early success already seen in the expansion of its junior program.
“Thanks to Bisinella, we have been able to expand our programs, bring in new coaches, and provide better facilities for our players,” Darren said.
“Their support has also allowed us to recruit more members, hold larger community events, and invest in new equipment and uniforms for every section of the club.”
Beyond financial contributions, Bisinella’s ongoing support has had a meaningful impact on the club’s culture and community presence.
Darren said NGFNC prides itself on being a family-friendly club, passionate about developing young talent and fostering a sense of belonging.
“Our partnership with Bisinella gives our players, members and broader community confidence in the future of the club,” Darren said.
“Thanks to our sponsors, we’re able to provide dedicated support staff across all teams, creating an inclusive environment where young athletes can thrive.”
Darren said the club has high hopes for the season ahead, particularly within its senior netball section, where emerging talent is being elevated through the ranks.
“Our coaches are fantastic mentors,” he said.
“They are supporting our younger players coming through and helping them develop the skills and mindset needed to succeed at higher levels.”
With the club preparing to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2026, there’s plenty to look forward to, not least every game day.
“We’re excited every week!” Darren said.
“We love seeing the community get involved – whether its’s attending our Thursday night dinners or cheering on the teams from the sidelines.”
Bisinella Developments Director Richard Bisinella said he was proud to continue supporting NGFNC for another exciting year.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the club for another season,” he said.
“It’s amazing to see the club’s growth and the positive impact they are having on the Geelong community.
Supporting grassroots sport is part of our commitment to ensuring local areas continue to thrive for generations to come.”
