The Supreme Court proceeding brought by L.Bisinella Developments Pty Ltd against Greater Geelong City Council has been settled out‐of‐court.
The terms of the settlement are confidential.
“We are very pleased that this matter has come to an end,” Development Manager Richard Bisinella said.
“These long‐running issues can now be put behind us and we look forward to a productive working relationship with Council into the future.”
The proceeding related to Bisinella’s 40‐hectare industrial estate on the corner of Bacchus Marsh Road and Heales Road in the Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct (the GREP).
Bisinella lodged a planning application to develop its land in 2008 and its first project was completed in 2009, but there was a delay of more than nine years before the first titles became available in November 2017.
The GREP is one of the City’s and the State’s most strategically important industrial growth precincts.
