For the third year in a row, Bisinella Developments, one of the region’s largest land developers, is offering emerging leaders of our community the opportunity to develop their leadership skills.

Through their partnership with Committee for Geelong (CfG) Bisinella is sponsoring a limited number of scholarship places in a CfG Activate leadership program which will run later this year.

Scholarships for the eight-week leadership program, from July 18 to September 5, are open to residents from Lara and the northern suburbs of Geelong.

Activate is an foundational leadership program for emerging leaders to explore the foundations of leadership and gain confidence, knowledge, skills and strategies to lift their leadership capacity for personal, professional and community benefit. 

Participants develop a strategic understanding of the challenges facing the Geelong city-region and are inspired and challenged by a broad range of information and guest speakers.

Bisinella has provided 12 scholarships for community members since 2017.

Networking, the art of communication and how to step outside your comfort zone are just some of the skills gained last year by recipients of a Bisinella leadership scholarship.

Bisinella Developments’ Director Richard Bisinella said the company was a “proud supporter of the CfG’s Activate programs which provide future leaders of Geelong with a fantastic platform to gain crucial leadership skills”.

Confidence, courage and ability to cope with change are just some of the skills gained by local recipients of last year’s scholarships.

The CfG has delivered leadership programs to the Geelong community since 2006.

CfG’s Acting Leadership Manager Janelle Meyes said “the Activate Leadership Program scholarships – generously offered by Bisinella Developments – provide an invaluable opportunity to emerging leaders from Lara and the northern suburbs of Geelong”.
